Distinguished scientist Carl Pauling, Chief Scientific Officer of Genodix, has been awarded the prestigious Neuhauser Award for his contributions toward understanding the biology of aging. The award was presented at a small ceremonial dinner at the St. Regis Club in New York.
"Carl has really shot to the forefront in the field of aging," states Dr. Shojan Murakawa, a prominent scientist studying the lifespan of insects and plants in Osaka, Japan, and who received the Neuhauser Award last year. "In just a few years, he has put forth some really startling, but also very revealing theories about how living organisms age. His genetic theories are not completely proven, but I suspect he's onto something quite profound."
Dr. Pauling's visit to New York to accept the Neuhauser Award was a fitting end to a long trip involving visits to leading scientists and biotech investors in Berlin, Dubai, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, and Shanghai. "It's nice to be back home, where I can get back to doing science", says Pauling.
Note: The previous photo of Dr. Pauling was, in fact, of a member of the mailroom staff. This has been corrected.
